The company was founded in 2013, by principled investment professionals with an ardent passion for Africa’s growth and progress, which is counted amongst the world’s leading & emerging industrialised nations.

Bonginkosi Sithole, Chief Executive Officer

Sithole is an astute business executive in South Africa, with over 17 years working experience and extensive experience in the private and public sector. He began his career & honed his skills in the Information Technology (IT), & software development environment as a new business development executive, where he managed the public sector portfolio. He was later appointed by a Durban-based firm to head up its Johannesburg office, managing an impressive portfolio of JSE listed and unlisted blue chip’s, in the retail, financial services, mining, transportation, energy and government space. He later co-founded several start-ups in logistics, mineral resources and the property space. Prior to joining Rand Capital, Sithole was the founding partner of Umthunzi We Sizwe Property Group; a leading sub-Saharan Africa real estate investment firm.
Khoza, Kelebogile



Kelebogile Khoza, Head of Legal & Finance

Khoza joined  Rand Capital Limited to head up the Finance & Legal division of the group, she brings with her a wealth of experience cut in the Banking & Finance sectors: Corporate and Commercial. She joined the Wits Law Clinic as a candidate attorney and later ceded her articles of clerkship to Tsebane Molaba Attorneys, she has previously served at Poswa Incorporated (a leading black owned corporate and commercial Law firm). She headed Standard bank of South Africa as Deputy COO. Prior to joining Poswa Inc, Ms Khoza served at Absa Capital, Clientele, and First National Bank. She holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB), obtained from the University of Witwatersrand, she further holds a certificate of Advanced Company Law from the University of Witwatersrand.

Fenella Swarts, Head of Mineral Resources  

Miss Swarts heads up Rand Capital’s mineral and natural resources division in Sub-Saharan Africa. She has extensive exploration production, and technical consulting experience cultivated from progressive exposure to open pit and underground mining operations. She’s built an extensive career on a broad industry skill set; in the fields of evaluation, project implementation, and operational management.

Fortune Sibanda, Associate Deal Executive

Mr. Sibanda is an Associate Deal Executive at Rand Capital Limited and is an experienced Entrepreneur with demonstrated track history of start-ups on the African continent. He joins the firm to head up new business development and mergers & acquisitions for Africa and the Middle East.
